Enjoy a Memorable and Exciting Afternoon, Day or Week  in the Historic Blackstone River Valley Heritage Corridor!
The Blackstone River Valley, extending from Worcester MA to Pawtucket, R.I.,  is the birthplace of America's Industrial Revolution and an American Heritage River. The John H. Chaffee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor was designated by Congress in 1986 and includes 24 communities that President Bush recognized as Preserve America towns in June 2004.

As New England's first mecca of  ethnic groups creating a rich texture to the underlying Yankee values, the rural, suburban and urban communities create a compelling destination with a lively host of arts and culture, a multitude of recreational opportunities and a lovely historic landscape.

Welcome to Blackstone Adventures!

The nationally recognized treasures found in the Blackstone River Valley are a mix of historical, cultural and recreational gems. This Heritage Corridor and Preserve America Valley is brimming with stories to tell and adventures to enjoy! Though renown as the birthplace of America's Industrial Revolution with Samuel Slater's first water powered mill in Pawtucket in 1793, the Valley's history goes far deeper with John Eliot's Praying Village in 1654, the 1675 King Philip's War, the 1842 Dorr Rebellion, the first U.S. woman voter, the Blackstone Canal and the hardest working river in America. That's just for starters - we can keep you intrigued and relaxed for days!

The recreational opportunities are boundless - from river kayaking to biking back country, winding roads or along historic Commons and architecture. Hike along the canal, explore an intact canal lock or stroll along mill villages now transformed with art galleries and unique shops. Fly fishing, swimming, cross country skiing or  brook trout streams are awaiting or cruise the fascinating river landscape for an hour or overnight. Enjoy waterfire, scenic farms and rolling hills, water slides, a wonderful family zoo, apple orchards, antiques and unique shops and artisans, America's "Sistine Chapel"  and unparalleled treasures too numerous to mention. Tell us what you want to do - we'll arrange a self-guided itinerary with B&B, hotel, routes, directions, local "best" secrets sure to make your time here is unforgettably pleasant, relaxing and hassle-free! Questions?
